After 35 years, our historic Berry Blvd. location will be closing on August 29th at 6:00 pm. On August 30th we will re-open at our Preston Hwy. studio from 10:00 am to midnight, 7 days a week.
We have had many great years at this location and seen changes to this industry no one in the 1970’s would have guessed. If you would have said to Charlie in 1973 that there would be TV shows about people getting tattooed he would have laughed you out of the shop! Today’s world is much different than it was even a few years ago and all businesses are looking for ways to cut costs without sacrificing quality.
We are cutting our overhead by consolidating our Berry Blvd. location and Preston Hwy. location together. We are not cutting a single job though. All of our talented artists are still here and doing the quality work you expect from us. We are losing a building, but people are more important than a building.
This is a sad time for those of us who have many years invested in the Berry Blvd. studio. Personally, I grew up on this corner picking petunias in the flower boxes, cleaning the windows, cleaning the ashtrays (even doctors offices were still smoking friendly in the 80’s), and gluing up flash in the back room. I loved hanging out at the shop with Dad in those early years. It was a very exciting place to be and I cherish those memories dearly.
Over the next few weeks before we make the move I will get schedules posted for all of our artists and piercers. That way you know when to come in to find “your” artist. The expanded hours will make it even more convenient for you to get tattooed.
Thank you for your support over the last 35 years and I look forward to the next 35!
